he was very shy... I had to hide behind a fallen tree for a while before he came back close enough... I was lying flat on the ice (my belly got frozen!)

Lightroom has some corrections that may help. If you are using 5.4 (upgrade as of today), there are some camera/lens corrections that you can use, in the Develop module.
