Nice. The spring turkey hunting season opened a few days ago so they have all scurried into the thick brush.

I think here it's the 25th of April to May 31st, more people running around with guns, right behind my back yard... super. I'm not sure what the idea is in hunting the ones that made it through the winter before they hatch their chicks... hunter logic I guess.

Lovely blackbirds Travis.

Happened upon this loon, they are usually far away and quite skittish. I took a local cable ferry to a job this morning, and this one was right close.

A butcher bird on the washing line in my backyard, with the Sigma 150-500mm @ 500mm, wouldn't turn around and pose nicely for me

Wow that is one huge bite out that poor bird's wing. Great to see it is still flying, hope it doesn't impede hunting. Well captured.

Great shots today, all. I really enjoy some of the birds I never see here. It was snowing lightly when I got up today, but it was +5 C (+41 F) so it didn't hang around for long. The only wildlife today were mule deer sampling the spring leaves across the street.
