Loons, Trillium, and song sparrow with meal. All with 1.4 TC DA*300. Flash extender.

And now for some gear porn. The Metz isn't weather proof, so I suspect I'm going to have to replace it some day.

Another one with the Nestar.

Look at meeeee!

Actually I would be interested to see what some of you more expert LR practitioners can do with this pic. if you're interested in having a play I have put the original dng here. I'm a bit of a neophyte with LR3.6.

Thanks G_Money for the correction - noted and edited in the original post!

An Audubon warbler. I'm getting to like this flash extender. Not sure if I have the white balance right, and maybe need to notch down the exposure, but I see possibilities. The stop that the 1.4 TC takes has been frustrating, especially when the weather is overcast.

So with this one of the swan washing and preening I was more aggressive upping the exposure and contrast. Couldn't help the original underexposure - exp comp was maxed out with this t-mount lens (well only by taking the pic in LV)

Not really:

Yesterday, near my house, in very big city - Los Angeles, CA. BTW: the body is very sharp including an eye. It did lose some appeal due the downsizing, etc. However, the wings are too blurry to my taste.

DA* 300mm f/4 ED [IF] SDM is very more than perfect for my work. Here are some pictures in different situations (sorry for my english, it is not my mother language)

detail in native pixel resolution

and use for portret pictures:

Very well balanced colors, deep and crystal clear.

My full review is here: (be carefully, lot of heavy pictures)

A few from today... I moved the feeder location, after not using it for 10 days. it was good to see some old friends back. The current location of the feeder is way too far away for the type of sit i was getting before....

A-400 and Pentax FA 1.7 TC.

I've actually squirrel proofed the feeder, but this one cleans up the crumbs the bird throw overboard...

The chickadees were there first and most often.

I never managed to jai the focus on the Blue Jay, nice focus on the branch over his head though... what's with that K-3?

Also waiting for the feeder was a Hairy Woodpecker...

Toughest was the Nuthatch... too small, and too far away.

I was tracking a set of ears moving through a field off at a distance.

Next thing I know I sense something watching me, and looked down to see a buddy checking me out from not too far away. Stay alert out there.

The bird appears to be about a foot in front of the branch, not under it.
