Relative newcomer and not savvy with where to best post photos... was asked to cross post some photos with DA 560 to this location.
Sorry for any redundancy

No apology necessary. It's good to see some more DA 560 images. Excellent shots!

Were you second in line for this lens when I bought it off the marketplace? Oh yea......I'm enjoying your lens BIG time . This is the best lens I have ever used. It's so good I'm contemplating purchasing a K-3 for its use only. I love the color rendition, contrast, 3D look......the whole 9'yards. And it looks cool
Curious though....Does this lens have better IQ over the DA*300?

Just want to say guys/gals I've loved looking at loads of 300mm + photos. Don't want to single anyone out, but really loved many of the shots. Much appreciated.

Great pics all of you

Well I've been tweaking and twirling in LR, still don't know what I'm doing (feel free to make any helpful comments...) but this seems to look ok... another one of the preening swan (see posts 12313, 12316) with the tamron Nestar 400mm f6.9 Probably at f8.

Osprey tending her nest waiting for her hubby. K-3, HD 1.4x TC, DA* 300mm f/4. Guy standing next to me had a 1DX, 800 f/5.6, and 1.4x TC for 1120mm. With the tripod and head it cost him about $35K. I would like to have seen his pics.

You could get a Q and OEM adapter for around $400 and be shooting at 1650mm eq with your DA300.
This point of view seems perfect for that setup.

I'll have to give that some thought. Thanks.

Now this makes me feel more agricultural with/about my kit than I already did. I guess I need to get a little more creative than getting around with a 600mm made up of 55-300 zoomed out to 300 x 2 (manual) TC at probably F8 or F11.

Not even going to think about the guy with the 1DX + 800 x 1.4. Good on him though
