Fantastic shot Travis! You really forgot about that one??? The only thing wrong with it is it has a thin halo. You can fix that in Photoshop elements by going right down to the pixels on the edge of the bird. I'm jealous of the photo so I have to find something about it. ha ha... I see a lot of people who posting bird photos on flickr with that halo effect. Expensive Canon and Nikon lenses are not immune from this effect except maybe the new fluorite lenses.
I find shooting at +0.07 or +1.0 over for birds against a blue sky and the sun behind you eliminates the halo. Our Siggie 500 primes are good lenses. It's also a better idea to sharpen the RAWs in Lightroom so not to produce or enhance the halo.
