Ah, now I understand!
Sorry, my English it's a bit untrained, but I'll give my very best!
It isnt real wildlife. It's in a wildlife park in Germany.
But it's still a day-long game of patience.
The mother still tries to hide the kittens. When one elopes, it is quickly brought back ...

They are next to impossible to photograph in Scandinavia without a _lot_ of effort. But not completely impossible. I am going to Finland/Russia later this year and hope to spot one in the wild, but it will probably not happen :-)

Hi, been following this club for a long time.
here's my first post on this thread and my first try at taking a shot of the moon.
Took it with my Pentax K-30 and the Pentax-K 300mm F4 lens on a tripod with a remote control.
Did minor PP with cropping and sharpening.

What wildlife park would that be?

I decided to make another flickr page. I won't be posting much on it. Here is an old photo that I posted. I could have cropped it less showing more background than the other photo some of you may remember was cropped even more.

I have said before to some other people, "When you crop an image it is something that should be felt as well as seen." Keeping the grass in the image added some dimension to it.

Been posting images here also:

It's the Naturwildpark Granat. The enclosures are roomy and espacially the lynx enclosure has a lot of hiding-places. So it isn't a good idea to visit Saturday or Sunday morning, when the families are there.

These are gorgeous Lynx shots Pixiac.

IMHO you could back off the cropping a little, not getting so tight, and so get perceptively sharper looking shots.

Rain-forest photography / birding is the toughest I've yet encountered ! With trees up to nearly 90m high (almost 300ft) and with very little light penetrating the canopy it makes both very difficult, especially shooting canopy/sub-canopy feeders ! The Bornean Rain-Forest is amongst the oldest in the world (along with both the Tasman Negara, Malaysia and North Queensland, Australia), all more than 120 million years older than the young whipper-snapper of the 10 million yrs old Amazon.

#3 below is a perfect example of what shooting in Rain-Forest conditions can do to your shots

#1 : ISO 800 - f5.6 - 1/250 sec - 600mm (flash used)
#2 : ISO 800 - f6.3 - 1/320 sec - 600mm (flash used)
#3 : ISO 3,200 - f5.6 - 1/50 sec - 600mm (no flash)
#4 : ISO 3,600 - f5.6 - 1/200 sec - 600mm (no flash)
#5 : ISO 900 - f5.6 - 1/200 sec - 600mm (no flash)

Lapwing with F* 250-600 plus TC 2.0-L

Shot this yesterday from a hide on a nature reserve near Münster in Germany, light was a bit harsh but I was very pleased with the Converter-performance of the F* 250-600.
