Your mourning dove looks like he's mourning warm weather. Nice shot.

Taken with the K3 and DA 300. Robin and freeze-dried berry Dove warming in a small ray of sunlight. Robin Portrait in Sidelight (late addition!!) I thought these guys were the first sign of spring!
They're only mundane to you - II don't see these species in my part of the world, and besides which they're good photos! Thanks for posting!

Very nice Gary.

I lived from the time I moved to Canada until the time I was 16 in WIndsor, when I left and moved to Toronto, I swore I'd never go back. Then of course, graduating form Teachers COllege, my only job offer came from WIndsor and i was there another 18 months. Such is life.

Thanks Gary. Super shots from yourself! So true about the Dove getting too fat to take off - indeed this is what awaits them when they get to that state!
The local Sharp-shinned cleans up the neighbourhood!

Nothing amazing here and I think the sun was beyond the horizon so the light was lacking but I'm just trying to keep posting so I don't get into too much of a rut.

The first is a better picture of the powerline hardware but the second is more interesting of the bird because of the eyes. I like the texture of the surface of the casting in the first.

Bloody hell, Gary, now that's just showing off! Not only are you a fine photographer, you also have a great bike collection - let me guess - 851, 851 SP, 888, and MV Agusta 750? Do you ride them all on the road, or take them to track days as well?

Hmm, I think I'll let my wife dissuade me from collecting high performance bikes and just get a K-3 instead. Very sensible don't you think?
