Amongst all of the banter about this rumour or that interview, I find this to be one of the quotes of the month. That, and all the terrific pictures that appear daily on this thread - thanks FreeSpirit9 and you photographers for the inspiration.

Kengoh, do you get your pictures of birds in Singapore? Where?

I am going there for a couple of weeks work in a week from now. But a strange bit of work - I work at night and have the days with lots of free time.

Hi Tim, welcome to Singapore, I've PMed you.

Was gald to be able to shoot this migratory kingfisher, I really love kingfishers, hope they visit my country more often.

After an unfortunate winter in Utah where the usual shooting subjects were in short supply then a relocation to the desert southwest that has provided far fewer things to shoot I've spent some time at Nellis AFB to catch the planes coming and going. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are based out of Nellis and apparently they train once a week so I put my camera to work.

Two shots of the same exotic kingfisher. Amazing. Nicely done, both of you!

Great Kingfisher shots Ken and iittoo!

An Asian butterfly exhibit just opened up at our local botanic gardens so I'm using the K-3 and DA*300mm in a different way. Still lots of fun.

Just hanging out at the feeder.

It happens a few times a day, there might be 40 birds out there, then they hear something, and they all take off, except, there always seems to be one that doesn't hear the alarm.

this time, this is the guy
