I have the advantage of being able to set up on the porch and go about my business (or just sit back with a cup of coffee) waiting for them to show up in that dead white oak. Kinda cheating, I know, but no way I'm going to try and chase them with that rig ;~) They've been very active lately--fledging I suspect.

Dave that's just a flat out beautiful setup. Feel free to adopt me.

Outstanding shots, Travis. You have really mastered this. Would you please shed some light on your setup and use of flashes?

Thank you, this is definitely a work in progress and I need to create a better back ground.
I use a tripod with Gimbal for the camera and four Flashes set to 1/8th power. Three tripods are used for flash stands (need to order another cheap tripod).
RF-603C II on camera connected to metz af-50 which triggers the rest of the flashes.
Finding the perfect spot for the flashes changes every time do to ambient light, and focusing and these little bastards is very frustrating.
This is costing extra money this year in gear, but hopefully I can use it in macro photography.
Cheers Travis

The wife and I are going to Costa Rica this winter,so this is practice.
I dont know how I will be able to bring all this gear

Did you built it around bird feeder or "hummers" plants/flowers?

Monks Hood is quite poisonous, as I know.

Yep, you've inspired me to try for in-flight shots along similar lines but without success so far.
