I final got out for some photography today, it's been about three months due to a move.

Tried out the 1.4TC with the 500. Too bad I cut of the butt on the second one.

Thanks Dave. Overall I feel focus with the 500/4.5 was marginal or perhaps it was my technique. For these shot I used a Molar Bean Bag mounted in my car.
Looking forward to trying the 1.4 with the 300/4 lens, hoping for a hand-holdable 400
