Really love the Kingfisher shots. Can you provide IDs for the others? The last two are very different, ad that first raptor - I have not seen one like that fish before.

Thanks crewl1. The raptor holding the fish (I think it might actually be a squid) is a whistling kite. They are pretty much everywhere in Australia and also eat pretty much every thing, however usually fish or rodents at sugar cane farms. The second eagle with the white head is a Brahminy kite. They are mainly water raptors but will still eat carrion and rodents, they are also usually very shy. The next image is of a Crested Tern which are quite common in breeding groups but they dont stay long. They grey bird flying is a Channel Billed Cuckoo, they are one of my favourites with their red eyes and barred tails. They are also quite large.last one is a noisy friar bird which are very common but also shy. They almost look like a minature vulture with the bald head and a funny bomp on their nose.

Hope this helps

Nice Sacred Kingfisher shots! You did well with the BIF shot of the Channel-billed Cuckoo. I've only ever seen them overhead at a distance.

Why I love this lens...

From my Pet Rescue Calendar 2005 - check my gallery - first upload of many.
Trusty old *ist D, Gitzo 80th Anniversary tripod, F* 300 f4.5 with Pentax SMC 'Cloudy' filter, Metx 40MZiii flash with Stofen softbox, mirror lockup at about f8, Pentax remote trigger. Processed in Adobe Photoshop CS 1 on an old Mac Dual 450 and ancient 17" monitor.

Cheers,
Cameron
"Trusty old *ist D" Wish I would have kept mine. Did not have a mark on it. A+#1 Excellent condition and like a dummy, I sold it.

Not much Amy, with the warmer weather the eagles have not arrived yet but most of the other birds are gone.
I am going to Costa Rica this winter so that should be awesome for photography.

My dog "Peaches" and the "Pussy Willow"

I don't know if it is appropriate, but I thought I would post a couple of pics taken with a Vivitar Series1 100-500. Lens is since been gone several years ago.
