I HAVE to learn how to take such sharp photos. Here's one of mine from last week, with the wind ruffling its feathers - if only it had been as sharp as Rockstar's... (This one was handheld, though.)

The actual name of the bird is "Little Blue Heron" or "Baby Blue Heron"? Sorry, i'm still learning the names of some of them and just want to be sure I get it right next time around. Thanks!

Thanks for the compliment.

Sorry, it was just a bad pun on "baby blues" - little blue heron. Sometimes I'm a little hard of heron. ;-)

Is there a policy about banning users for puns?

They can sometimes be confusing to tell apart. Once you see them together it's much easier. Here's a Tricolored that could almost pass as a Little Blue:

You don't want to be too hasty; you might egret it later.

That would be tantamount to lynching, so of coarse knot. No noose is good noose, after all.

This is not a great photo (also from Merritt Island last week) - it was hiding in dark brush, very hard to get any view, so handheld 400mm+1.4, 1/80 second. But just to prove I am not a sora loser. Rail against me if you will...

Top billing for both of you, even though you're both winging it.
