While on a hike several days ago, we spotted a small animal at the edge of ice-covered water, slinking along a few rocks - a mink in its natural habitat. Mink are not overly rare in the Ottawa valley region, but they are wary animals and tend to avoid humans. This guy poked its head out of the den to keep an eye on me.

Where in Ottawa did you find this guy? I may try and see if I have any luck seeing it.

No need to apologise. We all get words like these (homonyms) mixed up: effect/affect; aural/oral; compliment/complement; etc

Alan Cooper's Homonym List

PS for your amusement:

Yes, spelling also. Apologize vs apologise; depending on the Country.

Now back to those great 300+ photos!

Translation: Ridicule does not kill : Following the publication of "stolen photos" in the courtyard of the Elysee,
a deputy has filed a draft law regulating the use of long lenses by subjecting them to a holding authorization,
just like firearms !

Wow! Never thought a lens would be considered the same as a firearm!

Well, I guess you could bash someone's head in with a 400/2.8 easily enough. Pretty expensive club, though.

I thought that's what all those long T-mount pre-set lenses were for.

Don't you have that gun stock that attaches to your camera? Might be a good time to start carrying it.

I'm finding that manual focus with the F*300 gives me better control on sharpness when shooting into branches.
