A redpoll on every feeder....

Except the one with the Pine Siskins...

Redpolls in the trees..

Also redpolls on the ground

With some Juncos

I think I'm going to try to find some Pine Warblers this weekend. I know where they are supposed to be, but it is new territory for me.

The 31A 200-500mm takes sharp pics in combo with the NX20 (sorry for the boring subject).

And this is a 100% crop:

Thanks for the suggestion littledrawe, I've looked at those blinds actually, but I think they may not be very stable in slopes, like in the steep rocky edges of the river here.... I am pretty close to get the EPGear Kwik blind... I just don't really like their camo pattern though... I think they are too dark. The best pattern I have found is the multicam, but not many blinds use that. However, I have been in contact with the EPgear guys, and they expect to make one in multicam next fall or so... I want to go to the local army surplus to check if I couldn't find some fabrics like that, and make my own...

On a slope or a bank you would definitely have to stake it down or use some sandbags in the corners. I can't remember if it has eyelets for guy lines up higher but that would hold it too.

I suppose one nice thing about shooting with a Pentax vs just shooting is you don't need to cover yourself in deer stink when you use a blind....
