Is that a worm and a fish, or part of the fishes insides in his beak?

I think part of the fish. It was tearing it apart and eating.

Going for low ISO at the expense of shutter speed as darkness approached. This is dad getting ready to hunt with mom and two owlets in the nearby nest. K3 DA 560

GHOW

I thought this one turned out pretty artsy with only the head and feet remaining still.

Miss-interpreted as crows initially. Oriental Dollar Bird, taken from K-S1 + Sigma 150-500mm.

K3 500mm at about min focus distance. No cropping.
It is mating season - this guy was on the prowl, in the road.

Reminds me of every time I caught a turtle as a kid. Someone would remind me "Don't get close to his head. He'll bite your finger off". Great photos, and very detailed.

The osprey showed up in numbers today. I have seen individuals, but a pair was scoping a nesting site. They weren't there yesterday. This was my best.
