In fairness to the K20, keep it under ISO 800 in RAW and you may have a winner.

x-post @ F*/FA* club.
Nice shooting Dave - How's the 600 for birds in flight? is the lens auto focus quick like the Sigma 500 or more like a slow glide, like the DA*300?
I am waiting for the next generation of Pentax DSLR before I add any more lenses - my hope is that auto focus makes a jump in performance to the current Nikon and Canon capabilities of both speed and low light performance and I stick with Pentax.

The 150-450 is supposed to have much faster AF on the K-3/II than the *300. So any lags to Canikon performance may be in the lens. Tracking AF on the K-3 is 1st gen...

@wildman, Greetings, I do see "Exposure: Aperture priority (semi-auto)" in exif data for that yellow bird. Any idea what is "semi-auto" stands for?
Semi-auto refers to Aperture priority or Shutter priority. The camera can only adjust one of the two (1/2=semi). It's a bit of a meaningless term in my world. With modern Pentax equipment that includes ISO priority it is not semi but whatever word describes 1/3.

So Gary how did you manage to get those in-flight shots? Were your feet on the ground?
