I can't believe how much that looks like my old porch rail.

Keep up the good work, and don't worry if some photos are aren't astonishing as some here are. Many here are here to learn from others I so appareciate your Chickadee photo.
I grew up thinking that our Oregon Junco was a black-capped chickadee and only in recent years did I figure out I was looking at the wrong bird. I'm so happy to see that one
really exists and isn't a figment of a bird book designed to make my head spin. what follows is the Oregon Junco--- a relative of your bird.

There was a little bit of sun....but all the pictures I took when it was out were under-exposed.... my shutter sped was so slow most of the images were ruined by motion blur (darn birds won't hold still for a photo.)

All the sudden it's so cold my hands got too cold to focus the A-400 out in the blind. This is our second day of winter.... the first was on Nov.22, and it's supposed to warm up tomorrow. But for today, the ground is covered in snow.

But though you might be having a bad day overall, even a blind squirrel finds a nut sometimes...

Good shots Norm, your dedication in trying conditions is admirable. I love the woodpecker in the snow flurries.

Great shots from everyone. Travis if I could get just one eagle shot like those. Of course I would have to see one first. Have not had much to post here lately. No sun and the Bigma does love the light.

A few shots from yesterday when the sun finally came out for a few minutes. I got test out my DA*60-250 with my Tamron 1.4 TC. When the sun was out it did lock focus well otherwise the K3 struggled a bit. I think I would be better off using a monopod o tripod with the Tamaron since it doesn't report correct focal length for SR. Looks like I better start saving for the Pentax one.
