But the too close comment reminded me of this shot from a visit to a park in Portland, OR in April - handheld with Sigma 400mm APO Tele-Macro and 1.4x Vivitar Series 1 TC on my K-30. Just a mallard hen in the water, too close.

I finally took some pictures without the DA 1.4TC on the DA *300, they have been "joined together" since last December when I bought the lens. Sure is a nice lens and I wish we had a current DA *400!!!!!

Wow, I sure do agree with this... I also think if a DA* 400 existed, I'd be begging for a 500!

My first thought was Eastern Phoebe...indistinguishable by sight. But in BC it would be a Pewee...
