Good to see you brought out your 2.8 Ian. Heavy beasts, but to my mind , the most portable heavy beast of the heavy beast bunch. And the 1.7x on it it gives me a decent 510 ƒ4.5 for use on the FF, where 300 is the new 200.

FYI: Just back from Utah. My 300 f4 DA would not autofocus on the K1, and in fact, the latter identified as an APS-C lens and went into crop mode. Tried repeatedly wiping off the contacts with a lens cloth, but no go. So I set the camera to obligatory FF and focused manually the few times I used the lens. Not much wildlife seen, and the one real opportunity to use the 300 there wasn't sufficient time to mount it.
