Good Light was not there, but at least the snow adds a little plus!

ISO 4000, I'd say not much light. Nice capture, Weevil

That looks awesome. 4000 ISO is what lenses like the 250-600 have been waiting years for to give them new life. But still way to much money for me.

Norm, you could have done this shot with your 200mm ! I was at the short end of the FA*250-600...

For some reason we don't get images of owls or hawks much. With the hills and trees I don't get them stationary. Sometimes a big bird comes streaking thjorughj my yard with a squirrel or something in their sites, but we just see a flash of big. Most of the time we don't get a good enough look to even make an I.D.

Another good shot of the Great Gray Owl from yesterday... (just missed a bit of its wing tip in the frame)

I tried to remove some distracting backgrounds in PP with Lr6... Hope you like it!

+1 to awesome!

Even if I had the same opportunity as you, I'd never get photos like these. I'd probably pass out first...

I went back to where I photographed the Blue Rock Thrush a couple weeks ago to have another crack at it. It was raining on the way there, but cleared up a bit once I had arrived.

Another great capture Sylvain.

Well worthy of a little fixing.

That is an owl for the ages. No CGI master could come up with a better face.
