It's amazing to see it in the air, it's so incredible maneuverable, turns on a dime, airborn after only 20-30 meters.
The most impressive about this specific Fokker Dr. 1 is the fact that Mikael Carlson built it himself.

I found another shot of the lesser Yellowlegs on breeding territory in northern British Columbia. Many of us in North America see them on mud flats and beaches (and sewage lagoons!) when they migrate through. It's hard to imagine one sitting in a tree.

it can't decide if it is going to be sunny or not

this started out as a perfectly backlit opportunity
by the time I got my camera and the dogs outside...the sun was gone

this bee crawled out of what I thought was a tightly wrapped bloom

apparently you get what you get

Got tell a story. My neighbour have a pet pig. When winter comes, and heating is put on, it likes to lie towards radiator. And it actually smells like bacon...

Denis Shapovalov, the new rising star of canadian tennis...

I got an opportunity to go to the Rogers Cup In Stade Uniprix in Montréal last evening...
It was Denis Shapovalov, who was playing against Frenchman Adrian Mannarino in quarter-finals. The 18-year-old from Richmond Hill, Ont. fought off more break points, came back from more deficits and found a way to beat 29-year-old Adrian Mannarino of France in the quarter-finals of the Rogers Cup on Friday night. The win came less than 24 hours after a historic upset of first seeded tennis legend Rafael Nadal, which followed a second round win over 2009 U.S. Open champion Juan Martin Del Potro and a first-round victory over Rogerio Dutra Silva in which he needed to fight off four match points for the Brazilian.
He is the youngest player ever to reach the semifinals of a Masters 1000 Series tournament...

I brought my K-1 + DA 300mm, and I shoot from the 3rd level... (so, quite far away).
I wish I was on the base level.... but anyways, I am pretty happy with that combo. Last year I did the same but with the K-3II, and I think I prefer the result of the K-1 event if I am getting more "reach" with the crop sensor of the K3ii.

I am amazed at what is achievable using Pentax lenses

Here is a sampling of what I obtained with the K 3 + SMC Pentax-DA L 55-300mm F4-5.8 ED + HD Pentax-DA 1.4x AW AF Rear Converter

hand held, natural light.

I realize that the big guy - the D FA 150 - 450 lens would give better results but some times you deal with what you have, not what might be in the home, car or back pack

I can't help but to see the "eyes" of the insect as the middle dark areas seen below, although I know they have compound eyes
