Phoebe. Notice the single color bill and lack of strong wing bars.
Thank you, Boris.

Thanks for the note Chris.

I rearly hope for a new K3 very soon. I miss a AF at the same level as nikon D500.
I really don't think it will happen. I'm convinced that Pentax don't consider it a priority to update the AF system. They have had opportunities with the KP and even the K70, and even the K1. I have become used to the AF, and have been vocal in the past about its limitation for BIF, but that is specific. Given that I use single centre point for nearly all of my shots I think it's as quickas all but the best mirror less cameras (I tried an A9 recently, it's ridiculous)

Hi.

By popular demand , I want to start this club thread, can I do that?

So we can post pictures and stuff about F* or FA* 300mm lenses.

Some of them are already here:

https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/10-pentax-slr-lens-discussion/55703-smc-p...od-collar.html

Thanks.
Delightful shot with a really nice lens!

My first time in the blind all month.
K-3 and Tamron SP AF 2.8 LD [IF] and HD DA 1.4 TC

What are the grackles doing you might wonder?

Mr. Crow is watching from a distance.

An immature Starling hanging with the Grackles? It's my best guess.

Something weird going on with the sun...ƒ45 and Live View comes in handy occasionally.

I think our cameras are broken. Or I have the worst dust spot on the sensor.

RAD!

The geese and sandhill cranes are getting ready to fly south, so I took out my Takumar 200mm f4 m42 with a Pentax K-2X Teleconverter.

I pulled these straight off the SD card onto my tablet last nigh at my hotel. I used the K-1 since it has wireless. I left my OTG cable at home.

A young Green Heron fishing at a small pond.

Testing out the Pentax K1 + FA* 300 f/4.5. I think this may be my new favourite lens

The combo seemed to work well.

Evening. A little quiet of late, but there's a recent shot of a Silver Spotted Skipper, a somewhat rare Butterfly, being isolated to small areas of the South

A few from today, another busy day. There's never enough time to just sit, relax and shoot.

Stuck up comment, so to speak. Skippers are neither butterflies nor moths; they are skippers. Passing on the correction I received a couple of years ago...
