Apropos of Rockville Bob's
Conowingo Eagle in the rain: it's raining here today and--even as I post--the Cooper's Hawk* is sitting out in the tree. He's obviously not happy about the weather conditions and has been flitting (if birds of that size can be said to 'flit') from branch to branch trying to get comfortable and shaking the water off his wings. I've got a card-full of shots and I'm working on another. Here's the first I've subjected to my heavy-handed pp. In bringing out the bird, I've muted the feel of the weather conditions but it's hard to do justice to both, I guess.
* That is, Coopers
or Sharp-Shinned--I can't tell the difference.
