Normhead which lens were you using to get the bever photo's I've never seen a bever so I assume these are bever shots.
All my posts these days are on flickr, so you can see the info by clicking on the photo and scrolling down the page. The problem being I have two ways to get to 500mm, the Tamron 300 2.8 and 1.7x AF Adapter or the DA*200 with the 1.4 and 1.7x stacked. The first two are the DA*200 and stacked TCs, the third is the DA*200 with the 1.4, all on the K-3.

It's cold and days are shorter, but the sun is almost at it's lowest of the year giving nice lighting if the subjects happen to show-up. It's mostly luck, we have to go out and see what happens :-)

I especially like the Merganser. Most duck have great feather detail that's a real test of a camera and lens. Great that the K1 did so well at at such high ISO.

A summer visitor in our paddock. K-3 + FA*300 f4.5. Even dropping the shutter to 1/50th second, I had to use 6400 ISO, unfortunately - not the K-3's strong point.

Shame about the ISO, definitely not its strong point. Unless light us good anything above 800 is horrid.

+1 (at least) on the merganser - it is definitely a cut above.

Harvest Moon from central Texas, I had to wait for the clouds to move, plus the humidity is up compared to normal but I am happy. With the A * 400 F 2.8 if I get a bad picture it has never been a fault with/of the lens......always operator error! On my K3 II with this lens, manual focus [plus the AF 1.7 adaptor] is always sharper than with live view, or with HD capture, or with shake reduction on or off, with a wired or wireless remote. I shall experiment more tonight....
