It was a dark and stormy day...

A lot of rain today. So I decided to try out the combo of Tamron Adaptall-2 SP 300mm f/2.8 LD IF (360B) + Pentax Rear Converter-A 1.4X-S on my K-3 II. Shooting either wide open or half-stop down, definitely a challenge!

And yet, I think we can all appreciate your photo, warts and all!

5 years ago, 300mm end of the DA 55-300 on the K-01.
This big twin river birch became history last year when we had it cut down due to the constant mess it created.
I miss it for the flocks of goldfinch it brought when the seeds ripened, but I do not miss the mess.

K-5, 300mm end of the 55-300, cropped.

The DA*300 is very capable when it comes to Astrophotography. I did this 6min exposure last week (K-70 with GPS, ISO1600, 35x10sec, stacked with DeepSkyStacker, PP'ed using PixInsight):

If you haven't been there yet, you should visit the Astrophotography group
