So, fun fact: there are two little thumbscrews on the lens, and if both of them aren't tight, the lens wobbles on its mount.
Had one of those lenses - very compact, light, nice slide-forward hood, decent @ f8~11 - and those nasty little thumbscrews. I got a couple "sunburst" style lock-washers and made sure those screws were tight and stayed that way.

What are you telling us? Ricoh didn't have enough products to fill the cases so they rented space to Canon?

osprey Pandion haliaetus in its nest

" Nest Description -

Osprey nests are built of sticks and lined with bark, sod, grasses, vines, algae, or flotsam and jetsam. The male usually fetches most of the nesting material—sometimes breaking dead sticks off nearby trees as he flies past—and the female arranges it. Nests on artificial platforms, especially in a pair’s first season, are relatively small—less than 2.5 feet in diameter and 3–6 inches deep. After generations of adding to the nest year after year, Ospreys can end up with nests 10–13 feet deep and 3–6 feet in diameter—easily big enough for a human to sit in. "

Aslyfox,

So two guys who own Pentax cameras and live about 1,200 miles apart go to Yellowstone National Park 2 weeks apart and take photographs of the same Osprey nest. I shot mine with the K1 and my D FA 150-450 lens. These are heavily cropped but still with plenty of detail. I love that in the K1. I was with wtlwdwgn and dwalt when I took these photos. They were using K3's. So, come tho think of it, that makes 4 members of this forum have taken photographs of this same nest.

An osprey in Idaho, shortly after the eclipse. It was a LONG way out there. Oly MFT + 100~400mm @ 400mm (= 800mm FF equivalent). Slightly cropped.

we drove by the pull off for two or three days before we were advised the folks were pulled off photographing the nest.

most of the time the osprey was facing the wrong way when we were there

the best i got was a side view

these are cropped and were taking with my camera and lens mounted on mymodified Stedistock II

I plan on being out there in May. Not sure which son will be with me. Chris, who you net last year, just got laid off after 21 years with his company. So he is up in the air while looking for a new job.

What do you think about a "2nd Annual Pentax" trip in May?
