The conditions were really good for a few days, I wished I lived closer to a surf coast to get out there more often.

Yes, I belive you are right. The artist that conceived it made it his life's work, and his widow continued to pursue the completion of it until she passed away.

It likely will not be finished in my lifetime either.

But it is still a noble thing to do, I think.

+1 (at least) on those comments. Enviable work, but I've seen very few images from zzeitg that were less than excellent
