Taken at the Anhinga Trail, Everglades, Florida
I got to shoot these guys last year. I really like their coloring and they are really energetic. How did you like the Anhinga trail? I enjoyed my time there and got to talk with a couple of nice photographers from out of state. One was even shooting wildlife with a Hasselblad...

Anhinga Trail is also one of my favorite spots. We go to the Everglades for two weeks every winter. We just got back a week ago, I thought IRMA really seems to have impacted the wildlife in the area - seemed down from previous years. Corkscrew was really hit with significant damage and what seems like reduced wildlife. I think it may take more time for wildlife to recover.

I've lived here for 4 years and I agree that there has been a lot of impact. There are also major changes if you're doing landscape photography because of all the downed trees etc. I'm over in Naples and some of the trails I walk look totally different. I might be moving, but if I'm down here the next time you're down I'd love to go out for a shoot. I know some spots further west that are great for landscape, wildlife etc. I also own a kayak and have some spots that I can reach that people usually don't see.

Will do
We stay at a place East of Naples on 41, Port of the Islands. Rates are reasonable, especially compared to Naples and Marco, the restaurant is good and they have nightly entertainment.

Some more pics with the sigma apo 400mm f5.6, all necessarily with my samsung NX20, being OM mount.

female widgeon.

These three 1:1 pixel peep crops from a test pic sequence f5.6, f8, f11. Point of focus was on fishing equipment just behind the bird so perhaps slightly oof at 5.6, but in any case illustrates the pretty consistent IQ.

Robin from a couple Spring times ago. This one image was a bit soft relative to others taken with the same lens, but it is cropped a fair amount.

Beautiful image! What lens have you used on Nikon? The bokeh looks very similar to the DFA 150-450

I love this image and especially the spooky sensation it conveys. Congrats!

That was taken with the first version of the Tamron 150~600mm. I used the lens extensively in Iceland, later sold the Tammy, Nikon body and couple other N-mount lenses I'd collected. More recently I got the second version of the Tammy with a Canon 7D. The AF on the latter is lightning quick and nearly 100% reliable. It has been FAR better in those respects than my K1 and 150~450mm.
