One of the reasons I like the DFA 150-450 over a fixed 300 is the flexibility it provides. I'm on holiday just taking "me shots" at the moment .... where I'm not looking for anything in particular... just walking and occasionally snapping.... was checking out the birds in this old dead gum tree when I appreciated the bigger picture... so a quick zoom out and snap. Nothing all that special.... but gives me a sense of a take away "place"shot".

And another new toy ...

The difficult to find (esp in PKA mount) tokina ATX 100-300mm f4. Suffering from some (only light) fungus hence an advantageous price.

I have been taking a bunch of test pics, and today at the RSPB we had an obliging kingfisher. Big crop to 1100px, even using my sigma apo 1.4x tc. F8 on the lens, samsung NX20.

And this is a redshank, lens only at 300mm, f8.

Good lens...
