One more try at hand holding the A*400, this this with the AF 1.7 adaptor. Just to heavy and awkward to hold steady, plus the turkey just showed up out of the back yard jungle and in my haste I forgot to turn shake reduction back on! Then he was gone.....

Mountain chickadee with its foot temporarily caught on a sticky thistle, dispersing fluff and seeds as nature intended.
I photographed several birds using this bush as a staging perch while taking turns at a nearby feeding tray, but this guy had to break free. When I brushed by the same bush, four thistle balls stuck to my sleeve like velcro.
