Two more days of shooting with the SR & OS on. Amazing I got any shots at all...

This should have been really sharp, but it wasn't...

Lifer Western Meadowlark. There's an American White Pelican hanging around Montezuma NWR too. They must have come in on one of the Nor'easter.

An accidental capture = not trying to get a BIF. Consequently the camera wasn't set up to get the highest shutter speed, and it was a shady spot. So, IQ is not what I would hope for, but I thought it was an interesting image, one of three accidental BIF captures made that morning.

I guess no Spring here, this year.

Doesn't spring come a bit later in Montana?

I decided to lighten the load and switched to my tamron 55BB 500mm mirror. I usually use my NX20 with this lens because of the advantage 5x/7x focus mag gives in the evf. Particularly when cropping a lot there is zero focus latitude, millimetric adjustment required. At least the tamron has a big focus throw - much superior to the off-brand ones, vintage and current, in that respect.

Meadow pipit.

Little ringed plover, this was the best of a bunch of shots. Only slightly smaller than the ringed plover, quickest point of ID is the black bill as opposed to yellow with black tip.

From Yesterday.

White-plumed Honeyeater. These guys are normally hiding behind some leaves so this shot helps ease much frustration.

Male Flame Robin. Have seen at lease 2 males and 1 female so hopefully more shots to come.

Usually Spring shows early April; this year, just starting to feel like Spring. The ice just left the lake a couple of days ago!
