I've tried a couple of times to snap dragonflies, usually at a pond up near the Sychnant Pass well known for being a bit of a dragonfly hotspot but with absolutely no success to mention. Then at the RSPB this one obligingly perched on a bramble right in front of me. I was well pleased...then infuriated when I got home and realised the whole time I had left the K5 set on 6MPx jpg's (ebay shots) - DUH! Still my best dragonfly pic tho'. 300mm f2.8 60B + 014F tc. f11 on the lens to get the DoF, iso 1600, 1/1000, monopod. click to see full sized.
A quick google didn't enlighten me as to the species.
Also got a couple of warblers...
