Just a dragonfly from today, Sigma 70-300 at 300, which performs better than expected. Unfortunately this was well overexposed, so I had to adjust EV by -1.5

This one had me confused for quite a while, I finally decided it's a Little Eagle (Dark Morph) not a new raptor:

Today on the deck. I am really enjoying the option to chase butterflies with a lens without a 2 pound lens on a 2 pound camera.
K-3 and DA* 55-300.

I had the camera set to TAV 1/1600s and ƒ8. One at 1600 ISO, one at 3200 ISO, three at 6400 ISO. I'm impressed.

My K-3 always impressed me with it's ability to 'provide' a decent, clean image whenever I pushed the ISO! Just for grins, I once pushed it to ISO 12800 and got a useable shot!! Great camera.

Oh, and nice shooting!!

Getting those antenna against the blurred out background certainly makes it easier to pick them out in #2.
#5 was when he came closest to me, that one is barely cropped. There is great detail on the full sized image.

The third pic looks like a juvenile Black-breasted Buzzard to me, not sure if it is the same bird as the first two pics?

Edit: Scratch that, I see the legs are fully feathered and the white wing panel is a different shape, I think you are correct after all!
