Don't say I didn't warn you, more Pardalote shots.

These first four were taken with the K3, DA*300 & Tamron-F 1.4 TC with on board flash at about 2 metres. Last shot at about 6 metres.

Male Spotted Pardalote (Race punctatus):

This duck was way out there. A long reach for the 55~300mm, still requiring a significant crop to get a decent image.

I think you must spend 16 hours a day in the field photographing, Gary, and then another 8 in the post processing, every day. That doesn't leave any time for sleeping and eating, so you must work every other day and eat and sleep 24 on the others.

Soap bubbles

My daughter was playing with our 8 month old golden retriever, Buster. I tried to chase the bubbles with my K-70 and the DA*300 - not easy from a 5-7 meter distance
I had to focus manually, taken just before Buster ate it.

There must be something about your car that attract birds.

Very nice series.

my newly washed vehicles seem to always attract birds

but they don't come around to allow me to photograph them

and always remember to wear a hat in an aviary

And never, ever, park in the shade of a tree popular with crows.
