Were these taken in TO?
A few years ago, in Moore Park Ravine (Rosedale) a pair of foxes had a den and kits within 10 feet of the trail. The kits frolicked around outside the den with no fear of the numerous small groups of people passing by. It's a matter of habituation. If the people don't molest the foxes, the latter will ignore the former. However, as soon as the adult smelled or heard a dog on a leash coming up the path about 100 yards away, the adult vocalized and the kits instantly disappeared into the den. Dogs never leave fail to attempt to catch and kill the foxes, so the foxes act accordingly.

Originally posted by ChipB Baseball is derived from a version of cricket called "rounders", so it's not that different. The object is to to avoid striking out (when the ball hits the wicket), hit the ball where they ain't, make as many runs as you can before they can pick up the ball to tag you out. Sound familiar?
