Yes, I let my Pentax gear go recently. The short story is that I was looking for better autofocus performance. I'm also looking at picking up a super-telephoto lens at some point and the Nikon 500mm PF caught my interest.

You're getting the pics you want and you can get the 500/5.6 PF which is great lens, so that sounds reasonable!

Thanks, I plan to. I do miss the size (and especially weight) of the DA 300 and TC combo I was using at times. It was also exceptional at closeups. I'm brand agnostic and try to use the best tool after evaluation of all the options and within my means.
