Thanks, she was just sitting out there on the end of a log that was sticking up out of the water, so I had time to get everything just right. Get the lens out of the bag I carry it in, put it on the adapter and the camera. Set up the tripod, and I could have taken a lot more. Then take it all down and pack it up. She was still sitting there when I was walking away.

Nature photography is as much about opportunity as anything. The plan this day was a heron, I didn't even see it although Tess at the other end of the lake got a nice shot of it. You just have to go for what's in front of you sometimes.
