Lovely shot. How do you like the IQ and image keep rate coming out of the DA300+TC combo?

European Bison (Bos bonasus)

After World War I only 54 animals were existing in Europe and a local game park, just a few kilometres away from my house until today is one of the most important locations to help this beautiful species survives. Meanwhile hundrets of animals have been released into freedom again, mainly in remote east european forests.

This is the best I have been able to get out of the tele-tokina 600mm - a happy conflation of good light, focus and a co-operative egret. Samsung NX20, bean bag, remote shutter.

Thanks swip! I would say both of the DA300 and the TC1.4 is a very good combination, in term of keeping rate and portability. If you notice my recent shots with these combination, I'm easily to get the job done at F5.6 (hand held), when I started off with the Bigma, I always had to stopped down to about F8 for a reasonable shots. Bottom line, these is a very light+portable combination if comparing to my Bigma 150-500mm earlier on (with Sirui N-3204X + Manfrotto MVH500AH head).

The reach will be the issue that I'm currently facing, I will get the DFA 150-450mm if there is an offer. Thanks!

That's a great series. Sometimes I envy Floridians for all the excellent locations for photographing the big waders.

Heinrich is a tough act to follow, impossible for me. I'll take the plunge anyway with this southern masked weaver, Pana_Leica 100~400mm @ 400mm, (= 800mm FF equivalent & cropped as well) on Pana GX8

I have the FA*300 and 1.4 TC. I liked the portability of them when travelling but I find IQ is not very good especially when the bird is a bit further away. Maybe I will switch to the DA300 if one comes around.

Are you using tripod or hand held? Possible to increase the shutter speed to get rid of any interference that resulting the IQ? I'm using TAV most of the time with shutter speed either at 250 or 320s. Aperture from 5.6 to 7.1 with ISO 1600 or 3200 on my K70.

I just got this Chinese Sparrowhawk on the afternoon, didn't manage to get a clear shots on last year. The distance is about 25-30m away, results are pretty fine and acceptable to me..
