Looks like you had a good day yesterday Craig. Echidna is a good get. Hard to catch them front-on.

Hope you'll post a set in the 10 favourites from 2018 thread.

Late yesterday afternoon, light was quite harsh, not much was going on, Then I spotted this guy. Shot directly into the sun, the haze and clouds on the horizion gave the water a golden glow. Made the best of a unproductive day. Camera direct jpeg. K-1 and FA*600/f4

Brilliant set Timbo. Travelling the Gulf country or live in the area?

Worked really well. Like the composition, with plenty of space around.

THanks! I'm really quite happy with it, uncropped FF image. He was about 150 metres away, I really like the shallow DoF even at that distance. I just printed out an A2 size copy here at work, and looks great>>> Bigger IS Better

This has got to be one of the most stunning hummingbird images I have seen to date. Thanks for sharing your BIF talent.

Thanks for your nice comment. Much appreciated. Hummingbirds are challenging but fun to photograph.

One more hummingbird image, shot with the DA* 300:

Another terrific image Greg. I'd be really interested to hear if you did anything particular lighting wise...
