Rode my bike out to the Columbia Slough with my D500 and 300mm. Snagged this Wood Duck in flight.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say you did the heathland trail. The Ibis and Swamphen on the leaf litter could be either end of the park but the small patch of grass (and the Ducks) in the Duck shot suggests what I call "the grassy knoll" which projects into the top pond in the heathland area. Don't the Ibis look stunning in the sunshine?

Bingo. The pond on the heathland trail for the ducks and the swamphens. The ibis was on a quick stop at the carpark on the Governor Road end. Yes the plumage on the ibis is really beautiful.

The visit was really just a short recce on the way back from a medical appointment. But it made me want to go back.

Ah, a mere fleabite. Also it's been very quiet over the last week or so.

Within 50 metres of the grassy knoll: Sacred Kingfisher, Eastern Yellow Robin, Kookaburra, Golden Whistler, Grey Fantail, Spotted Pardalotes, Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, Sulpher-crested Cockatoo, Fantail Cuckoo, White-faced Heron, Peregrine Falcon, Brown Falcon, Little Eagle, Wedge-tailed Eagle, Swamp Harrier, Brown Thornbill, Various Ducks and Swamp Hens, Willie Wagtail, Silver-eye, Noisy Miner, Eastern Rosella and probably more that I have and haven't seen. Just not all at once

Tawny Frogmouths nest within 15 metres of the Governor Road carpark.

None of the ibis species will ever win a beauty competition but you captured the beauty of the Glossy's plummage very well.

Wonderful captures.
I have to say the 'purple swamhen' looks different than the ones we see in India.
