Long-tailed Duck taken today - transitioning into summer colours.  Not quite as formal as the midwinter attire (previously posted)  Most of them have headed north already. K-3, DA*300mm, DA 1.4x TC | |

I spent a long time out with migrating birds today.... the feeders are busy. Ignore the exif for the lens and f-stop. K-1 Tamron 300 2.8 withTarmon PZ 2x ƒ8, 400 ISO Sparrows Dark eyed Juncos     White throated sparrow  Song Sparrow   Fox Sparrow  Icteridae Female Red winged black bird  Male redwinged blackbird  Grackle  Woodpeckers Downy  Hairy  Finches Female purple finch.  Male Purple Finch  Common Redpoll  Mourning Dove   Red breasted Nuthatch  Black Capped Chickadee  Ruffed Grouse - We were worried about the lady. She's been with us off an on all winter and we've found the remains of two of her sisters, either wolf or fox kill. But she turned up today for the photo session.
