I tried out multi-point AF.C tonight. Really tough to get sharp photos for some reason.

Except this shot of Mother Goose...

Focused on the grass instead of the Bobolink...

It seemed to do a better job with the female...

I'm a Luddite. I use single point and back button to focus. Assuming I have an AF lens on the camera, of course, which is far from all the time.

I made this Neoprene lenscoat at the weekend. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out.

Super! Aside from the overall image, the highlight in the eye is - - if you'll excuse - - an eye-catcher.

Thanks.
I'm pretty happy with that shot because half decent shots of these blokes are damned hard to get, so to get a nice one is a big plus :-)
In this neck of the woods, they have the reputation of being the most difficult raptor to photograph.

Now that Flickr is mostly back. Very slow ATM though.

Some high ISO shots because my lap kept stopping the aperture down...

Long range...

Brown bird, brown vegetation...

I would say the 150-450 fringes less than the 55-300

It got a little windy...

I guess I can never have enough photos of Yellow Warblers...

High ISO Canada Warbler in the long shadows of morning...

Common Yellowthroat checked me out for a while

Tough shot to get as it wasn't making any sound. Normally I hear them before I see them.

He just sat on that stump preening while people and dogs went by.

Long range Green heron
