Same lens set up, different hummingbird!
This is really wonderful. The pose is unusual for a hummer photo, and the way the colors of the branch and background echo the colors of the bird... the word that comes to mind is "harmonious".

The females pose nicely after being dive bombed by the males! Usually they do some feather ruffling and chirping, which I can barely hear.... Here is a rare to me house finch orange/ yellow variant , first one I have seen in my yard.

1000mm. Is that like the proverbial 10 foot pole?

White crowned plover. All these shots taken with DA*300 F4 handheld and mostly cropped as well. This area near the Kwando river in Namibia's Zambezi region is wonderful for birds and for us desert dwellers a part of the country with greenery and permanent water. Paradise

I had a go at taking a couple of pictures of a Peregrine on a aerial mast on top of a 6 storey building. K-5/A*1200mm F8 ED[IF]/Gitzo 5532LS. I had to get on my knees to get to the viewfinder of the camera.

Some birds of the unfeathered kind ... The Red Arrows flying display team were at the Portsmouth UK D-Day 75th. Anniversary commemorations today 5th. June. Her Majesty The Queen, President Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel may have been impressed.

DA*300 and K-3. If the SDM on my DA*60-250 hadn't failed during the session, I might have done better...

When your boat gets too close to The Queen and Pres. Trump at the D-Day 75th. Anniversary commemorations, nearby on the sea front at Portsmouth... the Special Boat Service will come to get you. Taken from about 1.1 miles distant with Pentax K-3 and DA*300mm lens handheld (100% crop).

I had no idea this was in one of my photos of the Red Arrows fly-past, until today. Note the security watch Tower in the background!

There was a video a few years ago of protesters in a canoe being surrounded by RCMP boats during the G7 in Huntsville.

A couple of fairly plain look-alikes - but their calls are very different.
