OK, I'm gonna interrupt all these excellent shots of birds and wildlife, with a telephoto panorama.Fifteen shots, one row of three, and three rows of four.

My rock crusher cone fire pit, from the upstairs porch. Shot with a Pentax K-1, and Pentax-A* 600mm f5.6. Stitched and processed with Adobe Photoshop.

This lens is awesome. Pixel peepers click through to my Flickr and view the full size image. Be forewarned, the final image was so large I had to save a smaller, "for the web" version, but even that is huge.

Cross posted everywhere.
I'm envious.

I clicked thru to your Flickr but only see a 2048px image...

Odd, I uploaded a much larger image. 14400 x 7452 to be precise. The original is about 3 times that size.

Interesting - a very similar shot to the very first one on this thread from 2009, which has Ken's watermark but a different poster.

Tokina 500mm f/8 RMC mirror lens on Pentax K-S2. Chipmunk images were captured through a door's glass.

Odd, to be sure.

And the OP hasn't been around since 01-04-11.

I'm guessing that the link to the original image was broken and that someone put Ken's in there to make the beginning of one of PF's busiest threads a little more inspiring.
We should have held a 10-year anniversary celebration of the thread last April!

Thanks for the comment - Sometimes I think these guys rely on their camouflage feathering a bit too much - they think if they stay verrrry still you can't see them Makes for a nice stationary subject...

I would be very pleased to get that profile shot. Great feather detail and catches the character of the bird.

Do the ruffed grouse males only spread their tails in a fan shape in the breeding season, or is that something you might be able to photograph at other times, too?
