Thanks tim60. Yes. The wide angle would not have given me the shot I was looking for and the effect does not bother me in this shot. It did not make sense to me that any lens could get rid of atmospheric distortions, so maybe I misunderstood

Thanks. This is a difficult lens to use; in the 400-500mm range it is only somewhat acceptable stopped down to f/9 or so. But when you get the right mojo or whatever it is, the results can be gorgeous.

I'm now using a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV to get close to wildlife. It works really well, almost too well this morning. This Hare was so close I just about managed to get him all in shot.

K-3ii/FA*600mm F4 ED [IF]/Kirk window mount. uncropped 22.2MB
