Walt, what camera body are you attaching that Tammy to?
Nikon 7100. I sold the Nikon outfit when Pentax introduced the 150~450mm and I started using it. But, I found the AF unreliable and the lens more awkward to use than the Tammy, so eventually I purchased the newer version of the Tammy together with a Canon body which has really outstanding AF, and the Pentax 150~450mm went to another Pentaxian. More recently I've turned to MFT because of size/weight. I love the IQ of the K1 and the Canon + Tammy is a great combo, but too much for me to carry when a Panasonic G9 + 100~400mm Elmar is maybe 1/3 the weight and much smaller.

From the zoo at La Palmyre, France, shot with K-1 and Sigma 170-500. This lens is difficult to use, but it gives good enough results in the right conditions.

Thanks. I only wish I could've gotten a little closer so I wouldn't have had to crop as much.

Here's a photo of a supine deer, also taken with the KP + DA* 300 + DA 1.4x converter:

These two videos are shot using Z7 & 500mm PF lens, from a boat. So there is lot of vibration. There was Peacock dancing on river bank, and there was an Elephant taking mud bath. There is no pro-editing here. I do not have time to learn that. I just clipped unnecessary parts using AviDemux.

Place is Bhadra Wildlife reserve, India.

Peacock dance (I think camera was in FX mode)

Elephant (DX mode)

Two small birds at 300mm and cropped by 50%. Open bush in North Queensland - anyone care to confirm identity?
I think the yellow one is a juvenile Mangrove Gerygone,Gerygone levigaster . I saw mum nearby in adult beige plumage and 50% bigger in size. It could be a Weebill but it is too immature looking and possibly Yellow Thornbill but again too immature and the eye is solid black.

I have checked my copy of Simpson and Day several times but cannot identify the next one:

Both taken with K3 and DA55-300 ED

Thank you Des, habitat description is correct, what threw me is the angular feather shape on the top of the head - wasn't apparent to me in the wild but the illustration may be more exaggerated. Otherwise the best match in the reference material.
