Ouch. Was it a white rabbit? Oh dear oh dear.

Got some good shots anyway.

Yes it must be awful for them: Wildlife carers will soon be able to treat mange for wombats The treatment is a pour-on drench commonly used for cattle that kills the parasite. Some landholders are putting the drench on fences that the wombats go under, so that it brushes onto their back.

Excellent set Steven. The raven images are as good as any I've seen. I find it a struggle with ravens too.

It might be the same Raven that Norm photographed a while ago
A raven who likes Pentax gear.

Yes, ouch! Well, I did see a white rabbit earlier wearing a vest and carrying a pocket watch but I couldn't swear it went down that hole. However I did swear later.

Believe it or not, those shots were taken afterwards, walking the 2km around the wetlands. I only hurt after I took off my boots.

FOV on my 8” Newtonian telescope is too narrow for the Andromeda Galaxy, the DA*300mm on the other hand is perfect.
M31, K-70, DA*300 on an equatorial mount (HEQ5), exposure time approx 1 hour (50-55 frames), ISO800, stacked in Deep Sky Stacker, PP in PixInsight.
X-posted.

Thanks’ jacamar - no reason to let a fantastic lens stay in the bag when it’s dark outside

You just have to show off your wonderfully dark skies compared to mine.
Here's hoping that in a couple of weeks when I head up north with the scouts for the weekend it will be clear as I will be in some nice dark skies and can work my gear.

Among the most impressive Pentax astro shots I have seen. Looks like a lot of work!
