Thought I'd share some picks from the Prestwick aerodrome when my brother (currently in his final year of aeronautical engineering, intent on a future as a commercial pilot!) doing a trial flight for his birthday.

The Willie Wagtail nest went missing some days ago, they have built another and now will not tolerate Ravens in the area.

He was thrilled to bits! As I said, he has his heart set on becoming an airline pilot and is obsessed with aircraft and flying - he was absolutely beaming when he came out! We're going to get him another couple of light flights at some point

He did, however, say he's a little bit tall for the Cessna - he found the cabin space a bit low on the auld noggin!

An oldie from DA560+1.4TC on the K3 at 784mm handheld, credit to the moderate weight at which you get to this extreme focal length with the DA560.
A Grasshopper warbler in very early morning sun. Their "singing" when I first heard it was an enigma: how could their be grasshoppers or crickets in the first week of may as northernly as that? There couldn't of course..
