A Grasshopper warbler in very early morning sun. Their "singing" when I first heard it was an enigma: how could their be grasshoppers or crickets in the first week of may as northernly as that? There couldn't of course..
I know you have moved on, Chris, but I wonder if you still use this lens?

Another great DA560 image with the TC. Handheld at 1/200 at 784mm shows that the SR works really well! I have not used the K-3, but I have found the K-1 SR to work superbly with the long lens...

I love owls and always feel jealous of the lucky ones who have shot them in the wild before dawn...

You have certainly mastered that combination, Gary.

They certainly are. You don't want to get between an adult and their young, they can get a bit 'savage' and are able to cause damage with their wing spurs.

Cheers,
Terry

Superb series of shots of that buzzard! You really get wonderful results from that kit. TFS>

I especially like the Buzzard as well, well detailed and with that expression "don't mess with me". Good shot as well for the vulture!

I drove up to it in the car and ended up too close to get it all in. I took a few shots and then reversed back far enough to get it all in shot. It was watching something on the ground, so took no notice of me. I would estimate the head shot to be around 10m and the full bird shots 20m
