Try a Bahtinov mask for getting that perfect infinity focus. There are online template generators that give you a printable .svg file or you can convert the .svt to a .stl for 3d printing. With the big lenses a focusing mask is a godsend for getting the perfect infinity focus.

Again. Bad conditions last couple of nights. Did better with highlights this time. K-1, DA*300, 100% crop, color version.

K3 and the Bigma, sucker was straight up overhead so tricky, I rest the lens on the edge of the shed roof, but it was still wobbly, haha. Haven't shot the moon in years!

The pictures seemed to show they don't know what they are doing. Nice sharp catches.

I will try that, thanks. I know what they are, I never heard of these being used for a mirror lens, but its a telescope kind of, so makes sense.

It doesn't really matter what the lens type is but you really need longer focal length lenses otherwise the slits get too narrow to really be effective and get nice spikes. A 50mm lens is really about as short as one can go and it is really questionable there. I've used them on a MTO 1000mm f/10, a sigma 300mm f/4, a S-M-C 30omm f/4Takumar, SMC A* 400/2.8 where I have once made for each focal length. The one for the 300mm lenses I have used on shorter lens but the slit spacing is less than ideal as it becomes too great even at 1mm but going narrower than that gets harder which is what is needed for shorter lenses. I can use it fairly well down to 100mm but on the 77 ltd and any of my 50s it gets really hard to tell if you have perfect focus even in magnified live view.

Nice one!

I got the wobblys myself. Makes for a lot of OOF shots.
